Sustainability and resilience are high on the global agenda, with alarming headlines wherever we turn. It can feel overwhelming, but as the saying goes – many small streams make a mighty river. At ITARC 2025, we aim to make sustainability and resilience actionable and manageable for our profession.

Sustainability in IT must go beyond just carbon footprints. We will explore the broader aspects of sustainability, including ethics, security, and social impact. Join us to learn how you can lead the way toward a sustainable and resilient future and discover what IT architects can do for our planet and society.

Rebekka Wohlrab

”My goal is to make ITARC a meeting place where we can bridge the gap between academia and industry. It’s so interesting to see how research results can bear fruit in industry – and to discuss what real-world problems exist that can benefit from a research solution.”

I am an assistant professor in Software Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. I also hold a position as an adjunct faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University (USA). I have done research in software architecture and related topics for more than 10 years and regularly collaborate with companies to improve their architecture practices.

Thijmen de Gooijer

”My ambition is to bring different ideas and people together to grow the architecture profession.”

My daily job is that of lead solution architect in Nordea’s Financial Crime Prevention unit. I have a past in bringing academic research into product innovations, which included talks at multiple research conferences. Before joining IASA Sweden’s board, I was heavily involved in the SEI’s SATURN conference and served on the IEEE ICSA conference program committee.
