Karin Brodén är verksam inom informatik vid Umeå universitet och forskar om digital transformation med fokus på digital kompetens i offentlig sektor. Hennes arbete rör sig i skärningspunkten mellan forskning och praktik, där hon synliggör vad digitalisering faktiskt innebär i människors och organisationers vardag.

Med en lång bakgrund i IT-branschen, där hon arbetat med utveckling av samhällskritiska system, kombinerar hon teknisk förståelse med ett starkt fokus på organisatoriska och mänskliga perspektiv. Hon samarbetar nära med kommuner och regioner och är initiativtagare till Dikios®, ett verktyg för att mäta och utveckla digital kompetens.

Karin Brodén is a researcher in Informatics at Umeå University, specialising in digital transformation with a focus on digital competence in the public sector. Her work sits at the intersection of research and practice, making visible what digitalisation means in the everyday realities of organisations and professionals.

With a long-standing background in the IT industry, where she has worked on the development of mission-critical systems, she combines technical insight with a strong focus on organisational and human dimensions. She collaborates closely with municipalities and regions and is the initiator of Dikios®, a tool for assessing and developing digital competence.

Eoin Woods is an independent consultant in the fields of software architecture, green software and software engineering effectiveness. He is formerly the CTO of Endava, where he was responsible for software engineering and capability development for over 10,000 delivery staff across the world. Prior to Endava he developed databases, created security software and designed way too many systems to move money around. Outside his day job he is interested in software architecture, software security and sustainable (or "green") software. He is a regular conference speaker, has co-authored three books on software architecture and was the recipient of the 2018 Linda Northrup Award for Software Architecture, from the Software Engineering Institute at CMU.

Helgi is also a core member of the Intersection Group and one of the core contributors to the development of EDGY and related enterprise design tools and methodologies.
